Een multi-ondernemer zeg maar. Het hotel The Albus, en het bijhorend restaurant Senses zijn bloeiende bedrijven in het kloppend hart van Amsterdam. Daarnaast is hij ook eigenaar van tal van een andere horecabedrijf, investeert hij in start-up bedrijfjes, en was hij 9 jaar bestuurslid geweest bij de Amsterdamse afdeling van KHN. Taco is geen doordeweekse zakenman, voor hem primeert het milieuaspect in veel wat hij beslist. Dat straalt ook af op het hotel. Zo is The Albus het eerste hotel in Europa dat geen CO2 uitstoot: er komt geen gas aan te pas, noppes, niks, nada.
